About Anora — Wandering Weeds

Anora is a herbalist, nature educator, and community grower whose work is rooted in a lifelong love of plants and the land. From her home in Lac Ste. Anne County, Alberta, she grows, forages, and teaches with the belief that nature is not just something to visit — it’s something we belong to.

Through Wandering Weeds, Anora blends her herbal knowledge with a passion for connection, creativity, and hands-on learning. She leads herbal walks, foraging experiences, garden workshops, kids’ nature camps, and seasonal retreats that inspire people of all ages to slow down, notice the world around them, and deepen their relationship with plants.

Her teaching style is approachable and intuitive—weaving together practical skills like plant identification, seed starting, tea blending, and salve making with storytelling, folklore, and the spiritual qualities of herbs. Whether she’s guiding a group through a forest trail, hosting a “Garden Under the Stars” evening, or leading children in a potion-making party, Anora’s goal is the same: to help people feel at home in nature, and in themselves.

When she’s not teaching or growing, you can find her tending her own gardens, walking the boreal trails, or brewing new herbal blends in her greenhouse.

Her work is as much about building community and connection as it is about plants—creating spaces where people can learn, share, and grow together.
